Event Theme: Optometry Unites, Down Under

With abstracts received from 26 different countries, our Program Committee is delighted to announce the release of the comprehensive O=MEGA23/WCO4 Clinical Conference program.

The O=MEGA23/WCO4 Clinical Conference program sessions have been selected to include a wide range of topics for delegates to choose a personalized program which will suit their specific areas of interests. The 2023 program incorporates keynote presentations, full lectures, short paper presentations, dedicated sponsors sessions and poster sessions.

Sessions will be accredited for continuing professional development hours.

We are delighted to confirm keynote speaker James S Wolffsohn, a Professor of Optometry at Aston University since 2000, formerly Deputy Executive Dean for Life Sciences and then associate Pro-Vice Chancellor, is the Head of the School of Optometry and also Head of the Department of Audiology.

Additionally, we welcome keynote speaker Susan Cotter, a co-Chair of the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG), a clinical research network of 350+ paediatric optometrists and ophthalmologists funded by the National Institutes of Health/National Eye Institute (NIH/NEI), who performed clinical investigations related to pediatric eye disorders.

Continuing education points

The Program Committee and WCO are working to ensure the Program will be accredited based on what region you are attending from. Once the program is finalised we will be able to provide further details on accreditation.

The certifications will include CPD (Australia & UK) and COPE (North America). Note that the UK has now transitioned from CET to CPD.
