Bursary application

O=MEGA23/WCO4 Accepted Speaker Bursaries

Funds have been established to provide bursaries for the O=MEGA23/WCO4 – Optometry Unites, Down Under Conference in Melbourne.

The aims of the bursaries are to:

Advance optometry worldwide by providing opportunities for presenters who would otherwise not be able to attend; and
Support optometrists in receiving the latest in research developments from world experts.

These bursaries will assist presenters attending O=MEGA23/WCO4 by providing them with valuable networking and learning opportunities. Bursary recipients will be selected based on their responses through a formal application process and are available for international presenters only.

Interest in applying for a bursary?

- Personal need for financial support.
- Strength of application statements
- Reasoning on how you would share your knowledge after the conference.
- Completion of speaker attendance registration including payment.
- Bursary recipients will be required to submit an application.
- Applicants will be required to pay for their own travel and will receive the bursary after the arrival at the conference in Melbourne.
- Applicants are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the bursary.
- The maximum amount payable for a bursary is $2500AUD.
- Successful applicants will be advised of the amount of their award via email.
Bursary recipients will be required to submit an application.
Must not have received funding for this conference from any other source.
Accepted by the O=MEGA23/WCO4 program committee to present at the conference; and
From low-income and lower-middle-income countries.
